Day 1
Arrive Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV), transfer to Dan Hotel / Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner & Overnight - Jerusalem.
Day 2
We drive to Bethlehem, where we first visit the ancient Church of the Nativity, where we can really touch the very place where Jesus was born. Built by St. Helena already in the 4th century, it has been an active church and never destroyed ever since! Here St. Hieronymus wrote the first Latin translation of the Bible – the "Volgata", short stop at a local souvenir shop & drive to Jerusalem. We start with an introduction to the city from the top of The Mount of Olives, and then walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane. We also visit the "Wailing Wall", the last remnants of the Temple in Jerusalem. If the current situation allows it, we will try to visit the Temple Mount as well. We continue in the footsteps of Jesus along the Stations of the Via Dolorosa, Jesus' "Way of Suffering", and unto the Church of the Holy Sepulcure, where Jesus was crucified and buried. The Via Dolorosa also passes through the Old City's oriental "Suq" (Bazaar). Late afternoon back to your hotel for overnight
Day 3
After early breakfast We start the day in Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water to wine at a wedding, continue to Nazareth, where we visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Greek-Orthodox St. Raphael church near Mary's Well, continue to "Mt. of Beatitudes" we can enjoy the special church built by the Italian architect Berluzzi, as well as the wide view over the Sea of Galilee. We also visit the archaeological excavations of Capernaum, "The Town of Jesus", and its well-known Synagogue and the Church of the Fish & Bread in Tabgha. Evening – dinner & Overnight at Ramada Hotel / Dan Jerusalem.
Day 4
We drive down from Jerusalem to the deepest point on earth – The Dead Sea. We stop. to visit Qumran, the place where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and learn about the beliefs of the Jews at the time of Jesus. We will not miss a float in the healthy and special waters of the Dead Sea. Following Jesus' Footsteps we drive to Jericho, where we shall see the Sycamore Tree, on which tradition says that Zacchaeus the Tax-collector climbed in order to see The Lord, and Elisha's spring. A modern cable-car will take us up to the Mount of Temptation, where the monks built their monastery hanging from a cliff, on the spot where Jesus was tempted by the Devil, Evening back to the Dan Jerusalem / Ramada Hotel
Day 5 –
Check out from your hotel & transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport.
