1 Day Tour: Tel Aviv-Jaffa & Jerusalem from Ashdod Port 

“Do not miss the Ancient & Modern parts of Israel!”

Our Guide will wait for you at the Ashdod port, to take you along the Mediterranean coast and  visit the ancient was tied to a rock at its shores, but the port of Jaffa was also used, among others, by the rich and wise King Solomon, the prophet Jonas, St. Peter, who had port-city of Jaffa. Jaffa was known already to the Greeks, who believed that Andromeda there the “Vision of the Flesh” and Napoleon Bonaparte… We will then drive through the pulsating city of Tel Aviv, before ascending to the Holy City – Jerusalem!

We start our tour in Jerusalem with a panoramic view of the Holy City from the Mount of Olives. A leisurely walk takes us down, through the holy Jewish cemetery, to the “Garden of Gethsemane” with its “Church of all Nations” and ancient Olive trees, almost 2000 years old! We continue to the “Wailing Wall”, the last remnants of the holy Jewish Temple, and, conditions permitting, visit the Temple Mount itself, where we can see the Muslim Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque. Then we walk through the Muslim Quarter and the colorful “Suq” (Bazaar) and follow the different stations of the “Via Dolorosa”, the “Way of the Cross” according to Christian tradition. The Way of the Cross ends at the “Church of the Holy Sepulcher”, built traditionally on the site where Jesus was crucified and buried. We end the Old City tour at the Jewish Quarter, including Mt. Zion with King David’s Tomb and the Place of the Last Supper. In the afternoon we drive through Jerusalem’s New City, driving past the Knesset building, housing Israel’s Parliament and the peculiar white dome of the “Shrine of the Book” at the Israel Museum. Then we take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village Ein Karem, where according to local tradition John the Baptist was born. A scenic road, through the wood-covered Judean Hills takes us back to the Ashdod Port.

We start our tour in Jerusalem with a panoramic view of the Holy City from the Mount of Olives. Here we can relax and reflect on the experiences we gathered during the day, while floating on the healing waters of the Dead Sea. At the end of the day our guide will drive you back to the Port of Ashdod.

Acco (Acre) & Safed (Tzfat) Tour from the Port of Haifa 

“A Day-Tour of Past & Mystery in Galilee”

Once you finished your formalities at the Port of Haifa, our Guide will wait for you at the gate and drive you along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to visit the ancient port-city of Acco (Acre). During thousands of years this city has maintained its character, and there are a lot of extraordinary well-preserved sites in Acco, which made it a “UNESCO World Heritage Site”. Here we will visit the “Knights Halls” that were built by the Crusaders and stayed underground, preserved fully, up to their roofs!! We will also visit the Turkish “Hammam” (Bath) were we will hear the “Last Bath-Attendant” telling us the history of the City through its Legends and Myths… We shall also visit the colorful oriental Bazaar, with its odors and colors of the East, the ancient port, and more…

Driving through a landscape of scattered Arab villages, where Christians, Druze and Moslems live together, we ascend to the holy city of Tzefat (Safed), the center of Jewish Mysticism, Kabbalah. We breathe its special, spiritual atmosphere, listen to its many legends, and visit some of its enchanted synagogues. Safed’s special spiritual atmosphere brought inspiration to many artists, who have their galleries there, and like to talk to you about the mystical meaning of their art.

At the end of the day you will be driven back to the Port of Haifa.

1 Day Tour: Nazareth & Sea of Galilee 

“Jesus have been here!”

After ending all necessary formalities, our Guide will welcome you at the Port of Haifa and drive you to Nazareth. Here you will visit the glorious Basilica of the Annunciation, standing right on the House of Mary, where Jesus spent most of his life. Surprisingly, this is a modern church, built in the 20th Century according to the most recent beliefs of the Catholic Church. We continue driving through the city of Nazareth, passing by “Mary’s well”, were according to the Orthodox tradition the Annunciation took place. A short drive through the Land of Galilee brings us to Cana, where according to Christian tradition Jesus performed his first miracle, by turning water into wine at a wedding. We walk through Cana’s main street, were local merchants offer “Cana Wine” and visit one of the three churches commemorating this event.

After another short drive through the Galilee, Lake Kinnereth, the “Sea of Galilee”, unfolds below us. On the “Mt. of Beatitudes” we can enjoy the special church built by the Italian architect Barluzzi, as well as the wide view over the Sea of Galilee. We also visit the archaeological excavations of Capernaum, “The Town of Jesus”, with St. Peter’s House and its well-known Synagogue. We will also see the reconstructed Church of the Multiplication with its very unique mosaic-floor, dating back to the 6th Century, before driving back to the Port of Haifa.

Notes:

  1. As we visit some of the holiest places for the various religions, respectful, modest clothing, is required. This means you have to cover both your knees and shoulders, including men.
  2. All tours can be conducted in a similar way both from the Port of Ashdod and the Port of Haifa.
