Pure Vegan Tour – 10 Days

This tour is customized and operated on a PRIVATE BASIS ONLY.

Day 1

Arrival

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport and transfer to Tel Aviv for overnight (each arrival will have separate transfer).

Day 2

Tel Aviv-Jaffa

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Tel Aviv-Jaffa tour. Ancient Jaffa was the port city of Jerusalem; the raw materials for Solomon’s Temple were brought to Jerusalem from Tyre via this port. It is where Peter witnessed the revelation that started a new era by separating Christianity from early Judaism on the roof of the house of Simon the Tanner and where it first left the borders of the Holy Land, with Peter’s departure to Rome. Then we will walk around the first neighborhood out the walls of Jaffa and have lunch at the Carmel Market. Our bus will take us around Tel Aviv streets, Rabin Square and Bauhaus constructions. We will dinner at Vegan restaurant & O/N TLV (B,L,D)

Day 3

Caesarea, Haifa (Lunch in Vegan restaurant), Akko, O/N Tiberius (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we head to Caesarea, which was the Roman capital of the Holy Land, a port-city constructed by Herod the Great. In the theater of the Roman city, a seat with the inscription of the name ‘Pontius Pilate’ was discovered by archeologists. Caesarea is known for being the city where the first gentile was baptized to Christianity, and from where Paul sailed to Rome.

From Caesarea we will continue north to Acre, the capital of the Crusader kingdom and a UNESCO recognized world heritage site. Acre is actually two cities in one- the Muslim Othman city with the impressive Al-Jazar Mosque and the underground remnants of the crusader city and its Knight’s Halls. After visiting Acre we will make our way to the hotel in Tiberias.

Day 4

Sea of Galilee  – Capernaum – Tabgha, Mt. of Beatitudes, Magdala

On the 4th day, we will travel throughout the region where Jesus started his ministry. From Tiberias we will drive to Capernaum, ‘The Town of Jesus’ and the birth town of Peter. We will visit what tradition and archeology recognize as both the house of Peter as well as a monumental byzantine synagogue. From Capernaum, we will move on to Tabgha, where the miracle of the Multiplication of the Bread and the Fish took place, and an ancient byzantine mosaic can be seen on the floor of the Benedictine Church. We will also visit Magdala, an important town in the time of Christ and where Mary Magdalene came from. There we can visit one of the oldest synagogues in the world, also known as the synagogue that Jesus most probably preached in. We will have a break for a Vegan lunch at Ugata restaurant in Kinnereth (B, L, D) and after it, drive to Yardenit, where Jesus was baptized by John and the gospel began. Here our day will end before returning to our hotel in Tiberias.

Day 5

Visit Amirim with lunch, Safed & Hula nature reserve O/N Tiberias (B, L, D)

First, we will ascend to the Mt. of Beatitudes that watches over the entire region and captures the spiritual atmosphere of the Sermon on the Mount. Driving through the wood-covered mountains of Upper Galilee we reach Safed – Capital of the Kabbalah. We tour the different synagogues and look at some art-galleries. Then we visit Amirim, a Moshav located 650 meters above sea level on a hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee, established by vegetarians. We will stop at Saba Habib’s Olive Oil Factory, in Kibbutz Parod, and have lunch. Before ending this fifth day we will visit the Hula Nature Reserve, home to tens of thousands of aquatic birds, along with many species of rare plants and fish, creating a wondrous world of flora and fauna. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 6

Beit She’an, Jericho, Dead Sea including visit at Ahava which produce vegan dead sea cosmetics, O/N Jerusalem (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will drive south to Beit-She’an, the city which the body of King Saul was hung on its wall and flourishing capital of the north in Roman times. Beit-She’an is the perfect place to see the glory and mightiness of the Roman culture that was the spiritual atmosphere in which Christianity was shaped. Then, we head south down to Jericho, the lowest and most ancient city in the world we will see the bricks that witnessed the people of Israel entering the Holy Land, touch the waters of Prophet Elisha’s Spring and climb the cable car to the Mt. of Temptation of Christ. There we will have Humus & Salads vegan meal. Our next stop will be the Dead Sea, where we will not miss the chance to float on the waters of the saltiest lake in the world, including a visit at Ahava which produces vegan Dead Sea cosmetics. Finally, we will drive to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7

Jerusalem Old City + Bethlehem, O/N Jerusalem (b,l,d)

We start with a panoramic view of the Old City from the top of The Mount of Olives and then walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane. We also visit the “Wailing Wall”, the last remnants of the Temple in Jerusalem. We continue in the footsteps of Jesus along the Stations of the Via Dolorosa, Jesus’ “Way of Suffering”, and unto the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified and buried. The Via Dolorosa also passes through the Old City’s oriental “Suq” (Bazaar). After lunch and if conditions allow it, we will drive to Bethlehem, to visit the Church of Nativity – the traditional place where Jesus was born. This is the oldest church in the world that is still active!

Note: As Bethlehem is under the area controlled by the Palestinian Authority, responsibility there lies solely on our Palestinian partners!

Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8

Israel Museum & Knesset – Yad Vashem – Kfar Sagol

At the Israel Museum, we visit the scaled model of Jerusalem, as it was during the Second Temple Period (the time of Jesus) as well as the “Shrine of the Book” where the “Dead Sea Scrolls” are exhibited. Then we drive by the famous “Menorah” (Candelabra) situated in front of the Knesset Building, housing Israel’s parliament. Finally, we visit Yad Vashem, Holocaust Memorial and Museum. From there we face to Kfar Sagol, Eco Village & Sound healing retreat center where if You change your frequency, you can change your life!

Day 9

Dimona – Tel Aviv

After breakfast at Sagol, drive to Dimona to meet the African Hebrew Israelite Nation, a VEGAN community of 3000 Afro Americans. Lunch & meeting the community members.

Evening drive to Tel Aviv for overnight (B, L, D)

Day 10

Separate airport transfers AP departure schedule (B)
